Case CATalyst

⚠️ Important: Case CATalyst requires your keyboard to be in TX Bolt mode.
By default, both the Stenoob Pro 3 and Stenoob Pro 4 start in Gemini PR mode.
To switch to TX Bolt, follow the Toggle Protocol guide before continuing.
After switching protocols:
Pro 3: The LED will blink rapidly for 5 seconds to indicate TX Bolt, then return to a solid green status LED.
Pro 4: Purple = Gemini PR • Green = TX Bolt
Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
Expand Ports (COM & LPT).
Look for USB Serial Device (COM#).
If multiple ports appear, unplug/replug the keyboard to see which one disappears and reappears.
Note the COM# — you’ll use this in Case CATalyst.
In Case CATalyst, go to Tools → All Options → Read/Manage Notes.
In the Read Setup dialog:
Device: Select Baron TX.
Port: Choose the COM# you verified above.
Go to Translate → Options → Realtime (tab).
Under Writer, select Baron TX.
Under COM Port, enter the same COM#.
Click Apply, then OK.
Try reading or connecting to the keyboard.
If everything is set correctly, strokes should register in Case CATalyst.
⚠️ Protocol
Case CATalyst requires the keyboard to be in TX Bolt mode. If your keyboard is still using the default Gemini PR mode, see the Toggle Protocol guide.
⚠️ General
Only one application can access the COM port at a time. Close other steno software (such as Plover) before connecting to Case CATalyst.
